There are plenty of ski resorts in Austria and many of them offers top-class skiing. Bad Gastein is a very popular ski resort close to Salzburg, and you can easily get there by train. This makes it a lot easier if you like to go on smaller excursions during the day. During the summer, a major festival is held in Vienna, the Music Film Festival, which attracts around 900,000 visitors each year. If you are eager to shop, there is plenty to choose from in Austria. You can go to the flea market on the Naschmarkt every Saturday from early morning to early evening. In Karmelitermarkt there is also a nice market and the area is generally known for its art scene which is especially for younger people. If you prefer luxury shopping, you should look up Kohlmarkt & Golden Quartier.
There is a lot of Swedish coffee culture in Vienna and plenty of coffee bars. Visit the country's oldest coffee bar - Café Bazar, which is a gathering place for artists, writers, poets and philosophers. Why not sipping coffee and eating mozartcake as if there was no tomorrow!
