Lego, waterparks and zoos the entire vacation

Legoland is an amazing adventure park with over 65 million Lego pieces. You will find everything possible built in Lego, large castles, submarines and subway cars, dragons and much more. Ninjago World, Duploland, a lego variant of the Wild West, has climbing walls, carousels, view towers and actually an aquarium with real fish (that is not made by Lego). Lego House is a relatively new attraction at Legoland, which unfortunately has its own entrance – but still worth a visit. It is very interactive where both adults and children build and create.

After one to two days at Legoland, it is time to steer the focus towards Lalandia, which is a kind of indoor adventure land. There are climbing walls, trampoline, ski slope, bowling alley, shops and restaurants. Aquadome belongs to Lalandia and is an exciting and adventurous water park, actually the largest water park in Scandinavia. The theme is tropical and here are pools with waves, slides of various degrees of laziness, children’s pools and heated pools more. Finally, we come to Givskud Zoo where there is a safari, a park with dinosaurs and the latest addition is an exhibition with 15 animals from the ice age in full size.

Tip: If you buy a so-called “resort pass” you get entry to Legoland, Lalandia Aquadome and Givskud Zoo. It gets a little cheaper and you don’t have to queue and buy tickets to every place. If you choose to stay at Lego Billund Resort you also get a Happy Pass which comes with a lot of benefits and nice discounts.

War school for kids

There are also some historical places and attractions on your trip to Billund, everything is not fun and games – although it is also very important in itself. In Ribe, which is not far from Billund, you will find a Viking center where falconry is done, you can test archery and the children can go to war school. Koldingshus from 1248 is an interesting attraction and was once a royal castle. Peek into the various rooms and go on a treasure hunt, dress yourself in clothes from the Renaissance and eat some food in the restaurant located down in the basement right next to the dungeons. Finally, is there room for some art? Sculpture Park Billund is a beautiful park with sculptures, there are also temporary exhibitions and other events in the park.
