The nightlife in Budapest is lively and entertaining. There are some very special bars that you just must visit. The so-called ruin bars are nightclubs and bars that have taken place in old, abandoned housing complexes. The atmosphere is different, and the atmosphere is lovely among old brick walls and concrete walls, often covered with nice graffiti and doodles.
Take a somewhat exhausting but nice walk up to Citadella Fortress and reward yourself with the amazingly beautiful view! In the park Városliget you can stroll around, have a picnic, watch the castle or why not go to Sszéchenyi thermal bath? The bath house is a large, bright yellow building with both indoor and outdoor pools, a perfect place to unwind and relax. The park also has an art museum, Szépmuseués with lots of art from all over Europe, such as Da Vinci, Goya, Delacroix and Manet to name a few. The Holocaust Museum is very interesting and so is the Ethnographic Museum where you will learn lots about Hungarian culture and history.
Take a trip to the car-free, tiny island of Margaret Island. It is located in the middle of the river and is about 2.5 km long. On the small island you will find a health spa with sauna, rustic garden, cinema, cafe and restaurant among others. When you are back on the mainland you must not miss the parliament building, which is rather a palace than a building. It is one of the largest in the world and it is truly impressive to see. Feel free to take a guided tour to see what the inside looks like. There are many bridges that take you from one side to the other, but Charles Bridge is arguably the most famous and most popular bridge in the city. It was built in 1849 and when you go over to the Buda side you can take a cable car up to Buda Castle.
