Here it is crowded with restaurants with inviting outdoor seating and for those who want to discover the city’s nightlife there are also several nightclubs. The street runs from Götaplatsen and extends 1 km down to Kungsportsplatsen.
When it is shopping day, the Avenue can be a good starting point as the shops are close to each other. The Nordstan shopping centre is also well worth a visit. The mall consists of almost 200 shops and restaurants. After a long day, you can go out to the Gothenburg archipelago where you can stroll among picturesque alleys, take a dip in the sea or try a shrimp sandwich at a cosy restaurant.
You can find speed and fun at the Liseberg amusement park, located near the Gothia Towers in Gothenburg. Here are several stomach-tickling rides for all ages. For the smaller ones there is the rabbit land where the Liseberg rabbits live, where you can stroll around and also try some of the carousels, such as for example. Flying ice cream or the cyclone that will give the whole family a memorable stay. During the summer many concerts are held at the Stora Scenen inside Liseberg, you will often find many popular Swedish artists performing here, but also several major world artists have played the stage such as the Rolling Stones, Ted Gärdestad and Zara Larsson.
When you want to take it easy you can leave Liseberg, buy some food, and put yourself in the castle forest which is a large park, full of Nordic animals, in the middle of the city. The park has a cozy environment and is perfect when you want to relax the big city feeling for a little while.
