This trip is perfect for the ski lovers. The trip takes you to the most amazing ski resorts in the Alps, such as the powder snow paradise in Engelberg, Tirol’s superb ski terrain and wonderland St. Anton am Arlberg, the classic and cozy Kitsbühel as well as the famous ski-jumping resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After this trip your legs will shake from all the muscle fatigue and the ski goggle tan lines will be inevitable. Through mountains and deep valleys you will travel past incredible views and snow-covered mountains, so pack your overalls and helmet because this is something you do not want to miss!

Destinations

Engelberg in Switzerland is a must for the powder snow lover. Engelberg offers loads of snow and although off-piste skiing is what draws most people here, there are also a large number of perfect slopes for those who want to stay inside the piste.

Engelberg is usually divided into two areas, Brunni and Titlis. Brunni, located on the south side, is usually popular in the morning when the sun’s first rays reaches the resort. Here you will find many fine slopes for everyone in the company and also perfect forest skiing. When your legs start to grow numb you can even unbutton your ski boots and try a ride in one of the toboggan runs that meander down the mountain, definitely worth a try!

In the afternoon, after lunch, the sun also shines over Titlis. Here you can find that some of the slopes has a slightly higher difficulty, but most people who come here are often more interested in the incredible off-piste skiing which is very easily accessible. While here you can ride many well-known slopes such as Laub, which has a perfect stoop and is as large as 10 soccer fields or maybe the mighty ride at Galtiberg that takes you between glaciers and mountain faces. When the ski lifts close, there is also a large selection of top-notch restaurants accessible just waiting to serve all hungry skiers.

St. Anton am Arlberg. The resort has been named one of the top skiing destinations in Europe and there are skiing opportunities for everyone. Here are lots of things to see and do even though it is skiing that attracts most people here. The ski system is divided into five small resorts that you can easily travel between with the mountain tracks or buses. There are also plenty of large off-piste areas that can be easily accessed from the lifts. The large ski area thus qualifies as the fifth largest in the world.

The ski area of ​​St. Anton consists of the mountains Valluga, Rendl, Galzig and Gampen. Here there are slopes for both beginners and for those who want a little more challenge in their skiing. For those of you who enjoy the off-piste skiing, the northern slope behind Valluga offers a really good ride down to the neighbouring village of Zürs.

In addition to world-class skiing, St. Anton also provides some amazing After ski. Good music, sing along and karaoke along with tabletop dancing is something you should not miss during your stay here!

Kitzbühel. The village which is located between the mountain peaks Hahnenkamm and Kitzbühel Horn and is best known for its spectacular downhill skiing which takes place in the middle of January each year. The alpine skiing competitions held here is one of the Winter Olympic Games’ event and is one of the toughest and most remarkable races among alpine riders.

Kitzbühel is a large ski area with plenty of slopes for everyone in the family. The area which lies amidst beautiful mountain scenery has long been a popular tourist attraction for people from all over the world for a very long time. 15 km of slopes and 57 lifts opens up the possibility for good skiing for most people. Here you can find both blue slopes and for those who want to take on a challenge, there is of course Hahnenkamm, where the downhill skiing course runs.

Through the lift system you can also get to the nearby villages such as Hollersbach, Jochberg, Kirchberg and Aschau im Zillertal. For those who want powder snow, you can often simply put on a pair snowshoes and climb the nearest peak. Even outside of the pistes, Kitzbühel is a paradise. The large frozen lake Schwarzer See offers a lot of fun activities such as ice skating and curling. There is also a large selection of good cafés and shops for those who want to stroll around the cozy alpine village.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Famous for its ski jumping, all though this resort has so much more to offer. The city, located in the southern part of Bavaria, has over the years really managed to maintain its genuine charm. The wonderful winter conditions will guarantee you a visit without disappointment.

Here you can enjoy well-managed and wide slopes that are close to the city. The largest area is called the Garmisch-Classic and consists of three interconnecting mountains: Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze. Slopes in all kinds of difficulty levels can be found here among with a large ski course which is often appreciated.

The other area is called Zugspitze where often you can come across snow from November all the way in to May. When the fog hits the valley down below the sun usually shines here. Zugpitze is also Germany’s highest mountain standing at almost 3 000 metres tall. The mountain is a perfect excursion destination even for those without skis, up here you are met by an outstanding view that will long remain in your memory.

When you’re not going downhill skiing, you can also try hiking with snowshoes, cross-country skiing or try your luck at the casino down in the village.
