Strasbourg, the capital of the Grand Est region. Strolling around among the stunning architecture and still rivers that seeps through the city center is sure to be a delight. Worth a visit is the Strasbourg Cathedral, which was completed in 1439 and was at that time the tallest building in the world. Another must is the picturesque district of Le Petite France, here you can roam around amidst medieval buildings and narrow alleys or enjoy something appetizing at one of the neighborhood’s many restaurants. Strasbourg is also known for its European Quarter where the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the European Court of Justice and the Euro Corps is located.
Paris. The city is filled with hustle and bustle and is one of the most visited places in the world. No wonder, seeing as there is something for everybody here. Quimper located near the coast of the peninsula of Brittany. Here you can visit the Saint-Corentin Cathedral, one of the city’s most visited attractions, which has somewhat of a special architecture and exciting history. In a more tranquil part of the city there is a lovely garden called Le Jardin de la Retraite. The garden is protected by parts of the old city wall and there are banana and palm trees such as other plants from all over the world seeded here. A perfect excursion for when you want to get away from all the people for a while. Quimper is also known for its many markets that are located around the small town. The two most popular ones are Les Halles Saint-François and Le Grand Marché, where you can buy local produce and French specialties from different food stands.
Biarritz. Here you can relax and treat yourself to a real beach holiday on one of the fine sandy beaches that are close to the city. Here you can find the two splendid beaches of Grand Plage, which suits the sun worshiper and then there is the Côte des Basques, the surfers paradise. For those who want to get a taste of the city itself, Les Halles is a must. This is normally referred to as the city center and is a large market hall that sells everything from goat cheese to vegetables and wine. If you want to get a good view of the city then Phare de Biarritz could be worth a visit. The lighthouse, inaugurated in 1834, takes you 248 steps up to the vantage point where you can get a perfect panoramic view of the sea and the city.
