Afternoon tea in London
Don’t miss the afternoon tea in the world when you’re in England. Surely that would be a sin, right? In London you will find many cafes and even hotels serving “afternoon tea” and it is usually between 14.00 – 17.00. Many places have really nice teas and many different varieties to choose from. When you choose your tea, it is served in a teapot and along with the tea you are of course served a lot of small and tasty treats. What about scones, cookies and pastries, clotted cream, lemon curd, marmalade and liver pie…
If you love going to markets, London is a perfect city. There are several markets here and many of them are open several days a week. The Brick Lane market is only open on Sundays and you can find everything from art deco furniture, vintage clothes, video games and cheap but super good food. Whitechapel Market is open most days of the week and offers authentic food from many different kitchens, raw materials and even a few small items such as jewellery. Sunday Upmarket is another Sunday market with lots of clothes, jewellery, artwork, toys and of course good food and drinks.
